Our client, a well-established Logistics company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for new business development and establishing long-term business relationships of supply chain solutions locally as well as internationally.
Requirements:
- Matric Essential
- Degree or relevant post graduate qualification
- Own transport and a valid driver’s license
- Proven track record of freight forwarding
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales, business development, and strategic selling
- Knowledge of high-level principles and procedures of customer service
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and innovative mindset
- Business Development - acquire new business with a focus on Medium to Global accounts
- Manage and report on Client profitability, revenue, and year-over-year data
- Customer Relationship Management
- Management and Research - market intelligence
- Tender / RFQ/RFP management - where applicable
