Description:

Hire Resolve's client is looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in the logistics industry to drive business growth and development in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, creating and implementing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with clients in the logistics industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company's client base in the logistics industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of services to clients
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the logistics industry
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes to inform business development strategies
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to potential clients
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of BIL's complete service offering, while ensuring clients needs are always met

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5 to 10 years Sales Experience in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Proven track record in Freight Forwarding, Clearing, Contract Logistics and 3/4 PL
  • E2E Supply Chain experience
  • Demonstratable ability to manage and lead a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a valid driver's license
