Purpose of the rolePrimedia Broadcasting requires a suitably qualified individual who is able to assist in the production of new podcast products, in line with the station and digital hub’s strategy.
Job description
Assisting in the management and uploading of podcast content
Occasionally assisting in the prepping of hosts
Some writing and editing of scripts
Editing sound from interviews; adding production elements
Uploading and publishing content according to agreed upon schedules to various platforms
Liaison with Podcast Producers and Audio/Video Editor and other stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Knowledge of and demonstrable experience in sound editing
Final mix and mastering experience a distinct advantage
Proficiency in Afrikaans; isiZulu; isiXhosa a distinct advantage
Exceptional English skills – both verbal and written
Excellent audio skills – demonstrable Adobe Audition skills, or similar edit packages
Demonstrable production and organisational skills
Demonstrable ability to juggle multiple projects, liaise with creatives, makers and internal stakeholders
Great interpersonal skills, solid work ethic and a sense of humour
Excellent networking and relationship building skills
Flexible, hard-working and cool under pressure
Sense of humour
Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team
Curious, energetic and creative with a flair for storytelling
Exceptionally organized self-starter
Passionate about digital, audio and the podcasting landscape
Responsible and accountable
Ability to meet and exceed delivery on deadline
Attentive to detail, with a well-trained ear for technical and editorial QC work
