As a Financial Controller, you will be integral to our leadership team, responsible for managing all financial aspects of our company. You will oversee financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Your expertise in the manufacturing sector will help us enhance our financial strategies and processes. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as SAIPA or SAICA Articles
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, specifically within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong fluency in financial management software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and superb interpersonal communication.
- Knowledgeable about South African tax laws and regulatory standards.
- Lead the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance, as well as auditing and analyzing financial performance.
- Supervision of an accounting team to ensure the timely closing of accounts, payroll, and other financial transactions.
- Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
- Ensure compliance with the national and industry-specific statutory and regulatory requirements.
