An exciting position is available at this leading South African book publisher and distributor. The successful candidate would work closely with the Sales, Marketing & Publicity Divisions.

Key responsibilities
(The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)
- Assisting with regular updates across relevant departments.
- Assisting with the preparation of sales reports and presentations.
- Subscribing and presenting books to customers when necessary.
- Helping to coordinate sales operations with other business units and partners.
- Managing customer relationships and queries.
- Monitoring and analysing sales performance.
- Keeping ahead of trends and product knowledge.
- Working closely with publicity & marketing teams.
Skills, competencies, qualifications, and experience

- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Prior experience in Sales, and Customer services.
- A strong interest and love for books and reading in general.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Excellent planning and organising skills.
- Good general knowledge.
- Proficient in some Design software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Continual building of specific product knowledge.
- Valid driver’s licence.
