Lead a dynamic team and drive financial excellence as a Finance Manager My client is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team and oversee the financial operations of their Support Services department.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient financial processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and success.
This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team and supervise all Support Services functions.
- Act as a Bank Signatory, overseeing EFT payments and updating creditor banking details.
- Approve journal entries and oversee the Point of Sale (POS) system, including purchase order release.
- Scrutinize balance sheet reconciliations and conduct income statement analysis.
- Assess monthly stats reporting and Group charges, managing Group VAT submissions.
- Compile Quarterly Stats reports.
- Supervise year-end audits and budgets for Support Services, including account preparation and consolidation, and aiding in Group Consolidation.
- Generate monthly, quarterly reports, and forecasts reports.
- Assist departmental management with inquiries and budgeting processes.
- Administer monthly group support services fringe benefit company car schedules for payroll.
- Perform monthly budget vs actual variance analysis.
- Ensure effective implementation and operation of control procedures.
- Manage various ad-hoc Group management accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in financial management.
