My client is seeking a talented Finance Manager to spearhead their financial planning and analysis efforts. As the Finance Manager, you'll play a crucial role in guiding their annual budget process, collaborating closely with growth managers to develop realistic revenue projections and working alongside cost center budget owners to craft operational expenses budgets that align with their strategic goals.This role is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg North.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budget process, collaborating with growth managers and cost center budget owners to develop realistic revenue and operational expenses budgets.
- Assist stakeholders in building business cases and assessing ROI for investments.
- Understand and navigate environmental forces (political, economic, legislative, technological) to adapt finance management plans accordingly.
- Provide in-depth analysis to enhance financial performance and address business risks in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with budget owners to manage expenses, offering insights into actual results versus budget.
- Deliver accurate and insightful reporting to various business departments and executive leadership, supporting scalable growth.
- Submit monthly trial balances and forecasts using tools like Cognos Controller and reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end rollovers to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Deliver monthly financial forecasts within group deadlines, including forecasts for key initiatives, sales, churn, and cost calculations.
- Support decision-making and performance improvement through various reports and analyses.
- Oversee successful implementation of key initiative products, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with initiatives such as SME cloud billing setup and infrastructure development for ASP.
- Support treasury functions for Buy-now-pay-later product.
Qualifications and Experience needed:
- BCom Finance or Management Accounting
- 3 years experience in a FP&A role
- CIMA professional designation would be advantageous
- Experience working in a Services Company (Banking, FinTech etc)
