Description:

ROLE PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to support all aspects of the Company’s Material Management – all Bidvest Stores. Effectively manage and support the Materials Management team in terms of: Manage, analyze, and optimize Store material procurement and redeployment to mitigate obsolescence. Support the Materials Manager to achieve all KPI’s and SLA’s. Achieve all Goals and Objectives defined against annual targets for all the Stores Facilities relating to all Reporting, Audits, Quarterly Stock Takes, Monthly Sample Cycle counts, Analysis, Demand planning, Forecasting, Procurement, Stock movement in & out of the stores and to maintain the Materials database and accurate stock levels on SAP and IFS.
MAIN OUTPUTS
  • Store Management – Bidvest Owned stock and Client Owned Stock
  • Analysis, Demand Planning and Forecasting
  • Material (MIL) no. and Service (SIL) no. creation, extension and deletion via Service Manager Console
  • Stock Replenishment - monitoring, validation, request for quotes, approval submission, creation of SAP Purchase Requisitions and SAP and IFS Purchase Order capturing
  • SAP and IFS Receipting against invoices incl. creation and capturing of Stock Internal Transfers in IFS
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Store Management, Stock Takes, Monthly Sample Cycle counts, Stock Replenishment, creation of SAP Purchase Requisitions, SAP Receipting against invoices & Goods Issue processing
  • Monitor and Ensure all Suppliers/Vendors are paid for all stock received into the stores
  • Receiving and issuing stock physically into PPE store
  • Follow up and Expediting of outstanding purchase orders and deliveries
  • Strive to achieve 100% stock accuracy and take accountability of stock movement in the stores
  • Reverse Logistics Activities - Redeployment, Sale or Disposal/Scrapping of Bidvest stock, assets – vehicles and equipment as well as Implementation of New Contracts and Stores Set-up
  • Management of Stock Movement incl. Damaged, Expired as well as Obsolescence and Redeployment monthly
  • Manage and Drive Monthly sample Cycle counts as well as Quarterly stock takes for all Bidvest Stores
  • Driving Savings as well as Cost Avoidance [Incl. Stock PR Approvals, Obsolete stock and Redeployment - Monthly]
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, ensure proper store record keeping and housekeeping, Bin location identification and labelling physically and updated in SAP and safe stacking procedures
  • Support and ability to assist, understand, communicate and provide Materials Management Training
  • Assist with collaboration of Logistics strategies to support company goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ensure compliance to Materials management Governance, Policies and Procedures
  • Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction
  • Undertake other related assignment or duties as assigned to from time to time
  • Timeous Processing and Adherence to Deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
  • Tertiary Education Certificate in Logistics, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management. Administration and/or Customer service will be advantageous
  • Professional Registration/Trade N/A
  • Secondary Education Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Licenses Valid SA Drivers’ License - Own Transport required
  • Experience Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Store’s/Materials management environment.
  • Technical/Core Training Knowledge of Stores, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service training and Administration
  • IT Training (General MS etc.) SAP knowledge, MS Word, MS Excel, & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
  • Statutory Requirements OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
