We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant at Terra-Firma Solutions. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* *Focused on the accounting and administration of the Group's portfolio of solar pv assets, the incumbent would be responsible for:* · Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports. · Preparation of monthly reconciliations - follow up and clearing of reconciling items and queries. · Ensuring accuracy of trial balances and general ledger accounts. · Working with Debtors and Creditors manager to ensure prompt collections and payments respectively. · Reporting monthly the actual results of the SPV's in the Onestream consolidation system. · Preparation of quarterly board packs for SPV's (where required by shareholders). · Reporting monthly the rolling forecasts for the SPV's in the Onestream consolidation system. · Preparation of the annual budget for the SPV's, and reporting this in the Onestream consolidation system. · Preparation and filing of VAT returns and Companies Income Taxes. · Managing the cash flows of the SPV's, including the arranging of financing of the solar pv assets together with the group FD. · Quarterly covenant reporting to financiers. · Preparation of annual financial statements for company, subsidiaries and affiliates and ensure compliance with IFRS. · Facilitating the external and internal audit process. · Compilation of information needed on various financial analysis and reporting. · Ad hoc requests from departments for info, explanations, help, support etc. · Ensuring compliance of internal control, IFRS and Companies Act. * * In addition, the incumbent would on an ad hoc basis be assigned tasks relating to Financial Accounting of the holding company, Terra Firma Solutions · BCom · Working experience with SAP B1 and SAGE Business Cloud Accounting will be a preference *PREFERRED SKILLS:* High level of integrity High literacy and numeracy skills, excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with colleagues at all level Understanding of IFRS Understanding of control principles Good understanding of Purchase to pay, Contract to cash and projects by phases processes Dynamic team player and able to produce efficient quality and quantity output Pro-active with a drive to learn and grow Ability to work under pressure, and adhere to timelines *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* 3-5 years work experience · BCom · Working experience with SAP B1 and SAGE Business Cloud Accounting will be a preference *PREFERRED SKILLS:* High level of integrity High literacy and numeracy skills, excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with colleagues at all level Understanding of IFRS Understanding of control principles Good understandi
