Description:
The role resides within the Finance environment and is based in Cape Town. The main purpose of the job will be to manage Debtors for Smart Office Connexion WC. This role will require building of customer relationships as well as credit control of the debtors accounts.
Duties / Tasks:
· Calling clients and ensuring payments are received timeously
· Sending of statements and invoices to clients
· Preparing of refund requisitions.
· Preparing journals.
· Preparation of Accountabilities and final demands
· Preparing of legal files.
· Debit Order - Monthly and any additional debit order preparation
· Negotiating and drawing up payment plans for clients.
· Resolving and escalating queries both internally and externally around outstanding payments
· Preparing of edits for contracts to be suspended or re-instated
· Filling liquidation forms and sending them through to the liquidators.
· Preparing and sending clients detailed ledger/recon of accounts when requested.
· Opening of Cod accounts and 30 day accounts
· Sending updated Cod accounts to Consumables Ladies, twice a week for feedback.
· Reconciling accounts and resolving client account queries.
· Assisting with financial reports as and when required by the line manager and other adhoc financial admin duties.
Knowledge / Experience:
· Must have basic accounting Knowledge
· 3-4 years of verifiable previous debtor’s experience preferred
· Experience in Sage Evolution an advantage
· Computer skills essential
· Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excellent Excel skills
· BPO experience preferred
