Description:

Our client in the Automotive Industry, requires the services an experience HR Officer to temporarily join their team.

Key performance areas:

  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, policy updates, and diversity initiatives.
  • Assist with employment equity monthly maintenance and annual reporting
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various HR topics, such as harassment prevention, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Assist with recruitment & selection process by conducting interviews and reference checks
  • Conducting exit interviews
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Matric with an Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role (Motor Industry experience preferable)
  • Experience with Sage People will be advantageous
  • Must have In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships at all levels
  • Must have excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Must be proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A positive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to take on new tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric with an Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role (Motor Industry experience preferable)
