A vacancy exists in the Montana Laundries (Inland) branch based at Wits Donold Gorden Medical Centre, Parktown, for the following position: *Laundry Manager* *In line with the Bidvest Laundry Group Employment Equity objectives, preference will be given to people from designated groups* * Minimum gr 12 / NQF level 4 qualification * Tertiary qualification on NQF level # 4 or higher in a production / services or related field would be preferable *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* * A minimum of 2 years junior management experience in a production / service-related field * Comprehensive understanding of the laundry / production process * Comprehensive understanding of services / products that the company delivers * In depth understanding of the supply and demand chain * In depth understanding of SANS 10146 * Understanding of all related legislation and ability to ensure compliance to relevant legislation Understanding of labor relations, grievance procedures and disciplinary procedures and the ability to expedite relevant actions / measures * In depth understanding of expenses and budgets * Ability to build sound relationships with exiting and potentially new clients / customers * Ability to effectively and efficiently manage the day-to-day business, staff anions d the operations in the laundry effectively * Ability to effectively and efficiently manage customer relations * Ability to implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure on time delivery in full at all times Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and control physical resources including but not limited to people, equipment and facilities * Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and control financial resources and the engagement of these financial resources * Ability to plan, lead, organise and control staff and resources * Ability to effective and efficiently measure and manage the productivity and the operating costs of all areas under his / her control * Ability to evaluate staff performance on a 3-month basis as and when required * Ability to analyze, optimize and improve overall performance of the equipment, staff and the production processes * Ability to identify equipment / machine related problems and ensure appropriate actions are taken * Ability to provide leadership / coaching / guidance / mentoring to ensure departmental and individual activities are aligned with the goal and objectives of the branch and overall business strategy * Ability to compile, distribute and submit all relevant reports as and when required * Ability to monitor and maintain stock levels on a regular basis as and when required * Ability to effectively manage the performance of staff including the discipline staff when required Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and in writing * Proficient computer literacy on MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and company related software
