Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

DIMENSIONS OF JOB
Sales Turnover, dept, operating budget, material and/or labor costs, value added sales, responsibility
Responsible for Sales Turnover and managing the Commercial Team across South Africa.
COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB
The occupant manages vendors from different geographical regions with various financial and legal conditions, level, and impact of decisions the occupant needs to make)
As this is a newly created role, we are looking for individuals who has the mindset of an entrepreneur, understand the culture, have sales experience in the Telco industry and as well as managing the Commercial team across South Africa.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Sales Manager position will be responsible for developing, growing and managing a team of direct and indirect reports including Account Managers.
The position will be accountable for an annual booking/revenue quota / budget with significant growth in subsequent years. This management position is responsible for driving overall growth in regional market, she/he will have overall sales leadership responsibilities for the business in both across segments / industries.
Role & Responsibilities

Local market knowledge.
Go to Market Sales Model - Leading /coaching teams through transformation with Account Planning/Opportunity Identification, Business Relevant / Customer Value Selling and Business Disciplines.
Financial Performance - Exceeding booking goals (by geography, solutions and vertical), managing Opex goal, profitability, and maintaining forecast accuracy; providing in depth knowledge into numbers (customer insights, macro/micro trends, consumption models)
Team Development - Attracting, developing, and retaining high performance Account Team talent (career development, coaching, performance management and hiring).
Building a Winning Capability and Leading Change - Strategically leading and influencing his own team along with an integrated cross-functional teams, Services, Operation, Partners, Marketing, and others.
