About the Role
Intervid Africa, an established division of United Business Solutions, is a leading CCTV, Access Control and T&A solutions provider, based in South Africa. We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our established CCTV, Access Control & T&A department based in our head office in Rivonia, Sandton.
As a Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with new clients; maintaining relationships with our existing client base; identifying new business opportunities, both in new leads and within our existing customer base; and meeting specified sales targets. You will work closely with the sales and projects teams, and report directly to the Sales Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business prospects and selling solutions to clients across South Africa and potentially into various African countries. Although the role is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, you must have willing to travel.
Your Key Duties
· Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with our current and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities
· Make telephone calls and in-person visits to prospective customers, including presentations to clients
· Proactively research sources for developing prospective customer leads
· Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for prospective customers
· Plan and organise a sales strategy by maximising the return on time investment
· Provide management with feedback and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and the potential for new products and services
· Maintain and update CRM tool daily with diary entries, prospect sheets, quotes, lost order sheets, and sales activity sheets
· Ensure all contracts and other documentation are correctly completed and that all required documentation is submitted to the sales coordinator for the processing of deals
· Achieve 100% of monthly and annual sales targets
· Manage accurate forecast commitments and pipelines
· Cross-sell all lines of business to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Probation: 4 months
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
· National Senior Certificate/Matric
· At least 5 years of proven experience in selling Access Control, CCTV, and/or Time and Attendance Solutions, with an understanding of the associated IT network and software
· Valid driver’s license
· Advanced levels of computer literacy, including knowledge of MS Office
· Excellent communication skills, both in person and on various platforms (telephonic, Zoom/Teams/Skype)
· Skilled in managing inter-personal relationships within a team
· Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment
Further Advantageous Skills:
· Proficiency in other languages
· A+, N+, and PDI+ certification
· Impro, Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, Idemia, ZKTeco, Axis or Milestone experience
