SA-based company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who can assist with the Configuration and design aspects on a variety of products. The company designs products and components within the military, vehicles and railway industries. Designs on various aspects such as sheet metal and die-casting products design. Mechanical Design EngineerÂRandburg
Product design for Automotive- Military Vehicles, Trackless Mining -, Industrial Mining equipment, and Railway Industry Equipment. The products/ parts that are designed are manufactured locally and distributed to other parts of the world.
Detail designs are done in SA.
Qualification and experience required:
B.Eng. or M. Eng./MSc Mechanical Engineering
Experienced required:
- 3 years design experience on Inventor(Client will consider similar design drawing experience utilizing 3D such as Catia, AutoCAD, Pro E ; Creo or Windchill)
- 2-5 yearsâ experience in Configuration.
- Ability to interpret specifications, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Manufacturing and process Improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Production planning and managementÂ
- Configuration system
- Manage component and assembly drawings for proto typing
- Working closely with Mechanical and Electronic engineers to ensure manufacturability/ Industrialization of Products
