Duties & Responsibilities Include:As a Senior Software Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in translating software requirements into efficient programming code. You will be responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting applications that enhance business outcomes and streamline processes through the leverage of technology.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Collaborate with project teams, reporting to an IT Manager.
- Liaise closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with client standards and strategic enterprise architecture.
- Define and manage non-functional requirements, ensuring compliance with project goals.
- Organize development tasks and provide accurate estimations.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure software design and implementation meet architectural goals and quality standards.
- Support business analysts and project team members during requirements definition.
- Identify and mitigate technical project risks and issues.
- Actively contribute to improvements in our applications.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a focal point of expertise on key technologies.
Qualifications Required:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Bachelorâs degree in computer science or relevant technical field.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of development experience.
- Proficiency in the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in an agile environment, with Scrum/KANBAN methodologies.
- Strong background in C#, .NET 6, .Net Core, SQL Server, Blazer, HTML5, CSS, OOP.
- Experience developing web solutions and utilizing RESTful web services.
- Ability to develop unit tests for code components.
- Experience with DevOps automation is beneficial.
- Previous experience in the Insurance Industry is advantageous.Â
