Pioneering Engineering consulting company, based in Johannesburg North, currently seeks a skilled and self-motivated Assistant Financial Manager to join their team. This is a half-day position from 8h00 to 13h00. The successful candidate must consider themselves a hands-on team player with good managerial skills, who is also an effective communicator with excellent time management skills and has the ability to thrive under pressure.Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts to audit including account reconciliation and compliance
- Depreciation of fixed assets
- Installment sale agreements
- Monthly VAT returns
- Drafting Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare
- Assisting in managing the operation and development of the finance department
- Preparation, planning and completing annual BBBEE Certificate - Construction sector
Education:
BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5 to 8 years' experience in a financial management role required
- Industry experience in Engineering/Mining/Construction/ Manufacturing preferred
- Project environment experience essential
- Experience with SAP, CaseWare and Sage required
- Working knowledge of analytical ERP tools
- Solid Financial Data Analysis knowledge
- Critical reporting and thinking skills needed
- Assertive personality
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Team Player
- Deadline driven
