Description:
Established logistics and freight giant is looking to add a Disbursement Financial Controller to their team based in Johannesburg East. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of internal control in the disbursements management process.Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure completeness of accounting postings, payments and the integrity of group disbursement data
- Monitor and ensure completeness of all disbursement activities
- Track and monitor implementation of disbursement function related audit recommendations
- Lead and coordinate training of disbursement personnel
- Serve as focal point to ensure the smooth running of disbursement practices regionally
- Ensure quality and consistency of disbursement reports
- Provide analytical and data management support group disbursement
- Prepare and monitor monthly KPIs
- Cluster review provisions
- Prevent errors by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting
- Month-end reporting
Education:
BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 3 to 4 years' experience within a controlling finance role
- Experience in disbursement audit required
- Strong accounting and computer literacy
- Strong Advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Team player
- Deadline driven
- Effectively works under pressure
