Procurement Officer

Description:

Form part of an exceptional team crafting electronic solutions and is also developing their own line of products.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement necessities, quality standards, and delivery specifications
Interpret and understand engineering drawings to ascertain requisites
Aid in selecting suitable suppliers and contractors to endorse sound procurement methodologies
Compile proposals, solicit quotes, and engage in negotiations for purchasing terms and conditions
Draft and dispatch purchase orders and agreements
Track orders to ensure timely supply of materials/services within contractual timelines
Notify pertinent stakeholders of any delays or potential setbacks in orders
Evaluate supplier performance and proficiently oversee supplier relationships

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position
Comprehensive grasp of procurement procedures, policies, and systems
Familiarity with Xero would be beneficial
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred
Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Capability to negotiate, establish, and manage contracts and orders
Experience working in an electronic/mechatronic engineering environment

Qualification:
National technical certificate (N4 minimum) or relevant diploma
