REQUIREMENTS:
Â

• Minimum of 5 Years experience in Commercial Underwriting
• Minimum of 2 â 3 years team leader experience in a similar role
• Industry relevant qualification
• RE5
• FAIS compliant

DUTIES:
Â
Financial:

• Take proactive measures to minimize cancellations and mitigate financial losses
• Ensure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses

Client:

• Ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication with all stakeholders, including clients, Account Executives, and insurers
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and service delivery
• Work to meet client satisfaction targets while adhering to company standards

Business Processes:

• Guide and support the Commercial Underwriting team towards achieving goals and maintaining standards
• Provide guidance on underwriting practices and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Address client complaints promptly and optimise staffing to improve efficiency
• Generate reports, conduct quality assessments, and take corrective action to uphold quality standards
• Assist in developing training materials and procedures to enhance team performance.
  Adhere to company standard operating procedures performing the following processes on client portfolios (but not limited to):
  • General client
  • New business
  • Renewals
  • Endorsements
  • Re Broke
  • Age Analysis
  • Cancellations
  • Refunds
  • Invoicing
  • Client retention
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Participating in ad hoc projects
