Civil Engineer

Description:

1. Develop road and highway design plans, including alignments, cross-sections, and pavement designs, using CAD software and engineering principles.
2. Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for proposed road projects.
3. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents for road construction and rehabilitation projects.
4. Perform engineering calculations and analyses to ensure road designs meet safety, durability, and performance requirements.
5. Coordinate with transportation agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for road construction projects.
6. Manage construction contracts, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and project scheduling.
7. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and quality standards.
8. Conduct field inspections and site visits to assess road conditions, identify maintenance needs, and prioritize repairs.
9. Collaborate with traffic engineers and urban planners to optimize road designs for traffic flow, safety, and accessibility.
10. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, contractors, and government officials throughout the project lifecycle.
11. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to road engineering and transportation infrastructure.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience POST PR ENG in civil engineering with a focus on road design and construction.
4. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
5. Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
6. Experience with road design software and pavement analysis tools.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders and presenting technical information.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
10. Familiarity with project management processes and construction administration practices.
