Are you creative, have a stable event track record, self-managed, with the commitment to deliver a high standard of project planning?Our International client requires your events expertise to ensure all planning is precisely organised and sound relationships are built on-site by engagement with clients.We require your passion, genuine appreciation for quality and sustainable events, ensuring projects are detailed and continue to grow with creativity and innovation. REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, with relevant qualifications – Advantageous
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Own vehicle essential
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Experience in event operations management
  • Strong up to date knowledge of the trends of the global events / conference industry
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of delivering outdoor major events in e.g. sport, music, or similar sectors
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen
  • Exceptional management and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, being confident in liaising with all clients across all sectors
  • A commitment to personal development and continual improvement, having a strong desire to undertake training & development
  • A working knowledge, and personal commitment, to sustainability and environmental issues

DUTIES
  • Reporting to the Managing Director
  • Managing events from initial enquiry through to execution on the day
  • On-site engagement with clients at events
  • Ensuring all client needs are met throughout the planning process, adapting to budgets without compromising event style or operational delivery
  • Being an advocate and brand ambassador, developing strong positive relationships across all areas of the business and with clients and suppliers
  • Responsible for the equipment and stock management
  • Working alongside the technicians for the installations
  • Inspection of sites where events will be hosted and design the layout of the site
  • Problem solving where needed when on-site at an event
  • Building and maintaining client/partner relationships, acting as the principal contact point for project development
  • Project planning, logistical operations, overseeing of on-site project delivery
  • Production of post-event reports and continual improvement plans

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
