Role Description: Systems Engineer required for a for a 4-month contract position (possible extension) for a client based in Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:

- Liaise with vendors and repair personnel to ensure effective use of system hardware and software.
- Keep updated on industry changes impacting the role and embrace Nedbank's vision and values.
- Improve personal capability through identifying training opportunities and staying informed about developments.
- Ensure information sharing within the team and monitor system efficiency against service level agreements.
- Contribute to cost reduction efforts and meet report delivery deadlines.

- Unix: 3 to 4 years
- Red Hat Linux: 3 to 4 years
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience administering Linux or Unix systems.
- Non-negotiable expertise in Red Hat Linux administration.
- Exposure to ZVM Systems, Satellite, VMware, Azure, AWS, and Chef is preferred.
- Hybrid work model with JHB-based location, onsite 1x day per week and 4x days per week remote work.
- Additional nice-to-have skills include business writing, communication, and meeting ethics.
