Head Chef (Pan-Asian)Exciting opportunity to be part of an opening team for a new restaurant in George. Pan-Asian style cuisine, requiring a passionate and driven Head Chef. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:Working closely with Executive Chef on menu design, costing and platingStaff management - recruitment and selection / training, mentoring and upskillingStock management - in line with menu design (assisting in sourcing of suppliers for various ingredients), stock countsWastage, spoilage and portion controlHealth, hygiene and safety standardsFood Safety standardsWorking the pass, plating and garnishingGuest CentricGeneral administration associated with the kitchen Qualification:- Matric coupled with culinary art diploma
- 5 years as a head chef
- Pan-Asian cuisine knowledge and skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Computer literate
