Actuarial Analyst

Description:

We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The role demands keen attention to detail and encompasses a range of actuarial responsibilities, including compliance work, business analysis, and process improvement.
Key responsibilities:

• Determine key metrics needed to meet SAM and SARB compliance, in addition to internal reporting requirements.
• Perform scenario analysis for the ORSA framework.
• Offer technical guidance for evaluating new business opportunities and conducting pricing reviews.
• Establish data requirements and create reporting templates to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish business needs and project requirements.
• Track offshore investment distributions across the company.
• Make adjustments to individual contracts or revise portfolios as needed.
• Design custom data extraction criteria based on specific business objectives.
• Consistently improve processes through minor enhancements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project priorities and ensure clear communication of progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science/ Mathematics or similar
• 2-3 years of experience as an Actuarial or Risk Analyst.
• Progression with Actuarial exams (for those on the Actuarial track).
• Registered as a student member with ASSA.
