Description:
My client, a well-established, respected Construction company, is seeking a senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with at least 8 years’ experience to join their team. CANDIDATES MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE WESTERN CAPE Requirements:- BTech of BSc Quantity Surveying degree and be registered as a Quantity Surveyor
- Min 8 years relevant experience
- Must be fully bilingual
- Valid drivers licence
- Knowledge of Municipal Maintenance, Pipeline Construction, Trenchless Rehabilitation, Pressure Management; Bulk Meter Installations, CCTV Inspections and High Pressure Cleaning Basic Services and handling of asbestos pipes will be an advantage
- Computer literate + knowledge of QS software
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents
- Assisting in the preparation of bills of quantities
- Evaluating and negotiating contractor and supplier bids
- Conducting site visits and monitoring construction progress
- Providing advice on contractual matters and variations
- Managing project budgets and ensuring cost control
- Preparing and presenting reports to clients and stakeholders
