POSITION: PROGRAMMER

We have an exciting opportunity in our Information Management Department based in Paarl , and we’re seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our dynamic team.

Job Specification

Under supervision produces logical and technical specifications from functional specifications and writes the code for small to medium applications. Responsible for designing and configuring new systems and changes to existing systems, in consultation with the Data Architect. Incumbent carries out systems analyses, design, coding, program debugging, system testing, security assessments, performance assessments and user interfaces.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed National Diploma in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4 years related experience.

Key performance indicators

Growth

  • Engaging and maintaining productive and value adding relationships with customers as well as internal and external stakeholders whilst influencing best fit systems training solutions
  • Analyze user specifications to design and develop Qlik modules.
  • Maintenance of existing Qlik modules
  • Investigate opportunities to use new and emerging technologies related to Qlik.
  • Utilize business networks for new business opportunities.
  • Generate a systematic and integrated approach to Qlik analytics and measures as well as report writing.

Optimisation

  • Apply IM practices, policies, standards, procedures and methods consistently.
  • Manage helpdesk requests/queries time effectively.
  • Engage with customers (staff) to determine their training needs.

Leveraging Culture & Diversity

  • Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Building trusting relations and inspire relations amongst the internal stakeholders.

Digital Transformation

  • Drive the automation/optimization of digital processes by identifying opportunities for eliminating or streamlining manual reporting processes.
