Description:
We are seeking a skilled Motor Control Circuit (MCC) Designer to join our team in Klerksdorp. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD designing of low-tension MCC switch panels. This role requires expertise in PLC systems and their integration with MCC panels as well as knowledge of Mineral Process Plant P&ID, PFD and drafting complete list from P&ID to create E&I circuit from EDS to suit FDS.

Job description / core competencies:
Design and draft motor control circuit (MCC) switch panels using CAD software.
Develop detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings for low-tension MCC systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
Interpret technical requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to support the production process.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the development and implementation phases.
Stay updated on advancements in MCC design technologies and best practices.
Electric Development
To analyse a Mineral Process Plant P&ID and PFD.
To study the necessary equipment mechanical list stated on the P&ID.
To design the required electrical control circuit to suit the P&ID. Calculate required electrical loads and drive lists for the MCC.
Carry out full detailed design drafting of all schematic drawings and creating MCC BOM (Bill of Material).
E&I Development
Draft complete list from P&ID to create E&I circuit from EDS to suit FDS.
Develop single line drawings.
Insert all schematics and wire numbering, including RIO all sections (Developing E&I Section).

Requirements:
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electrical engineering or related field.
Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and their integration with MCC panels.
Knowledge of Mineral Process Plant P&ID and PFD.
Experience in designing of electrical control circuit to suit the P&ID.
Knowledge of motor control systems and their applications and the creating MCC BOM (Bill of Material).
Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Proven experience in CAD designing of low-tension MCC switch panels.
Experience in drafting of complete lists from P&ID to create E&I circuit from EDS to suit FDS.
Experience in developing single line drawings.
Experience in inserting all schematics and wire numbering, including RIO all sections (Developing E&I Section).
Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Knowledge of electrical principles, circuits, and components.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical design and safety.
