Description:

  • Reporting to the Managing Executive
  • Handling operational finances for one manufacturing operation, a fairly large logistics operation on site, as well as 3 other smaller operations providing sales and distribution services in the regions of Tshwane, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
  • Ensuring accurate accounting of all Company transactions
  • Reporting to the Exco on all financial matters
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Overseeing the management of stock
  • Preparing and monitoring the implementation of Company budgets and forecasts
  • Attending to and overseeing internal and external audits
  • Managing Company asset information
  • Ongoing analysis, revision and implementation of financial systems
  • Managing foreign currency payments
  • Assisting with company costing exercises
  • Performing financial analysis and advising management on strategic finances
  • Overseeing salaries and wage payroll administration
  • BEE reporting and planning
  • Completing and submitting statutory returns and reports
  • Overseeing IT services, Procurement and Estimating
  • Managing compliance with legal and other requirements such as ISO, SEDEX, FSC, POPIA, EEA
  • Managing cash flow and Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing a medium to large financial team of Finance Controllers and Clerical staff.

Requirements:

  • Reporting to the Managing Executive

  • At least ten years proven experience in managing a Finance Department in a Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution type environment;
  • Experience in the overseeing more than one operational unit (satellite units) as well as experience in Printing and Packaging environments would be advantageous;
  • Proven competence in the handling of all aspects of operational finance with exposure to the consolidation of accounts and the integration of financial systems and operations;
  • A thorough working knowledge of Syspro or similar ERP systems, excellence in Microsoft Office and Excel skills;
  • Advanced numeracy skills
  • Thorough knowledge of tax legislation and commercial law principles;
  • Experience in product and service costing is essential
  • A minimum of a B Com Honours degree or qualified as a Chartered Accountant or similar
