Kimberley - The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary team In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unitRequirements:A relevant nursing qualification (BCur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)Post Basic Theatre qualificationRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered NurseMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Unit Manager/shift leader in the specialised areasCompliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislationsCompulsory BLS certificationAdvanced Computer LiteracyKnowledge and experience on SAP and Kronos will be beneficialFlexible in working hours/ShiftsSound Theatre knowledge and experience Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence-based practiceEvaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contributionEvaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomesCommunicate effectively with patients regarding their carePromote health and wellbeing of patients and employeesEnsure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered toImplement group quality initiativesLiaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to the business
