Description:
Assistant Financial Controller (Hospitality background) needed. Our client is currently looking for a Assistant Financial Controller to join their team in Cape Town City Centre.Some duties include:
- Providing financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of the business plan and departmental budgets
- Maximizing cash flow performance of the business
- Enforcing & establishing adequate controls for all revenues and protection of assets to improve the level of service
- Monthly bank reconcilliation statements
- Examines daily costing reports.
- Examines and approves all payroll hiring, status changes and terminations.
- Ensures that all keys control and issuance procedures are correctly applied and adhered to.
- Recommends to the area office improvements in accounting and internal control.
- Attends and contributes to all training sessions
Requirements:
- Minimum Undergraduate degree in Finance/ Accounting (completed)
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the above duties (advantageous)
- Hospitality/ Hotel industry experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Background in SOP’s
- Strong leadership skills
