An established luxury Guest Lodge and venue idyllically situated in near Stellenbosch in the Western Cape Winelands, has a vacancy for a Receptionist to fill the role of Receptionist / Front Office Administrator and Hostess.Candidates who live in close proximity to Stellenbosch will be considered for this position Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry is highly recommended
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language (read, write and speak)
  • Team player
  • Have an organised and structured approach
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and willing to go the extra mile
Key Responsibilities:
  • Front Office duties, including greeting and checking in of guests and providing information about restaurants, activities and services
  • Host and engage with guests in the restaurants, leisure and conferences venues
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes
  • Assist in ensuring that the facilities are clean and tidy
  • General office duties including filing, e-mailing and telephone duties
  • To administer the general petty cash system and float
  • Administer reservations of various business units
  • Report any maintenance, breakage, or cleanliness issues to the relevant department
  • Act as Duty Manager when required
  • Upselling all merchandise
  • Assistance in food and beverage service
  • Setting up buffet, honesty bar, braai and preparing platters, light meals and picnics
  • Assist with room checks and managing housekeeping
  • Stock control
  • Assist with social media
