Description:

  • Planning Strategy:

    • Understand the business strategy and assist in developing product strategies by channel, as well as range building in line with the business vision.
    • Develop an integrated planning process that deals with customer demand, stock management and purchase order management.
    • Manage the Open Order Report (OOR) in collaboration with Wholesale Key Accounts Managers to ensure that stock is procured accurately and timeously delivered.

    Purchasing:

    • Purchase requisition placement and management
    • Purchase order placement, management, and accuracy.
    • Vendor splits on factories.
    • ETA management with factories to achieve on time deliveries to Warehouse.
    • Forecast foreign payment.

    Customer service:

    • Management of on time arrival of product
    • Ensure launch list/campaign articles are tracked for on time arrival to launch on time.
    • Liaising with relevant stakeholders with regards to orders, stock queries, late deliveries, or stock flow

    Operational Partnerships (Retail, Wholesale, marketing, ecommerce, Logistics, IT):

    • Assist buying department and account managers with information needed for the buying process.
    • Ensure that buy-plans are well detailed and clearly understood by team members and relevant stakeholders.

    Reporting and Analytics

    • Maintenance and uploading of the companies line list, with all the required information.
    • Assist in the mapping process for order management, logistical support, planning, order tracking and Bl tools.
    • Develop management reports focused on time delivery to warehouse/customers.
    • Develop an accurate ATS document to be refreshed on a weekly basis.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Degree in Retail, Business or any other related field
    • 3+ years’ experience in merchandise planning in a retail environment
    • Strategic agility and able to articulate a vision and purpose.
    • Advanced Excel skills
