Job Description
Your duties will encompass:
- Execute the efficient daily operations of all Fire Protection Services.
- Ensuring the optimal utilization and implementation of all fire protection equipment such as extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, signages.
- Ensure neat, correct, and timeous installation of fire systems in in line with business and industry standards and meet accreditation i.e., SANS 1475 and Detection and Gas Suppression standards.
- Conduct maintenance on Fire Systems and equipment as required.
- Identify all fire systems faults and recommend repairs or service required.
- Implement sound project management practices to secure own deliverables, scope, and good time management.
- Ensure quality of work on site to ensure that it meets the project standards and specifications.
- Check stock before deployment to site and when on site in order to ensure everything required is available.
- Ensure any deviations in required materials are timeously reported to the project manager to allow time for ordering.
- Identify and mitigate internal systems and procedural barriers to enhance excellent customer service.
- Convene, chair and attend meetings and present findings and business cases to relevant stakeholders when required.
- Ensure the mitigation of the department’s risk profile through the application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles and implementing of sound governance and compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and ensure that appropriate operational controls are implemented to address new requirements.

- NQF 6 Certification in 1475 Fire Technicians with Level 4 (Commissioner) in Detection and Gas Suppression a must.
- Valid SAQCC 1475 and Detection and Gas Suppression certification.
- 5 Years’ relevant experience within a Fire prevention/services environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Environmental Safety or a related field is required.
- NQF 6 Certification in 1475 Fire Technicians with Level 4 (Commissioner) in Detection and Gas Suppression a must.
- Valid SAQCC 1475 and Detection and Gas Suppression certification.
Skills
- 5 Years’ relevant experience within a Fire prevention/services environment.
