Our client in the FMCG sector is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. Requirements and Qualifications:- 5-8 Years’ worth of experience working at management level within a corporate finance environment.
- B Comm Degree with completed Articles / SAICA or higher
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Proficiency with the NAV accounting program or similar
- Knowledge of accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting best practices (IFRS)
- Knowledge of employee benefit schemes including medical aid and retirement fund, among others
- Knowledge of SA legislation governing the financial.
- Basic knowledge of IT system functionality
- Basic knowledge of payroll administration, including legislation that governs employee rights .
- To develop and implement effective financial management strategies, so as to ensure efficiencies in financial management.
- To compile accurate management accounts, variance reporting, cash flow forecasts as well as finalization of audited annual financial statements.
- To negotiate favourable terms of banking facilities with service providers.
- To ensure accurate measurement, evaluation and reporting of production costs as well regular stock management.
- To plan for, coordinate and ensure smooth execution of internal and external financial audits; with minimal findings.
- To manage and develop team members to their full potential, further ensuring that performance outcomes are achieved according to required standards.
- To oversee the procurement function, further ensuring strict adherence to procurement standard and operational efficiencies.
- To support analysis of profitability of capex and investment initiatives
- To ensure adherence to statutory requirements that include income task submissions to SARS, compliance with VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, UIF, management of retirement funds, as well as industry requirements.
- To oversee to and ensure effective functioning of the IT systems of the company.
