A power solutions conglomerate, forming part of a JSE listed giant, seeks an experienced Business Analysis Manager to join their dynamic and hardworking team based in Johannesburg North. Job & Company Description:The purpose of this role is to lead business analysis across business systems, leading the team, and creating a high performing and efficient function through process optimisation and development.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coach and lead the business analysis team, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project
- Ensure business needs and requirements are understood
- Apply strategic thinking in how to provide the best solutions
- Provide business process design and documentation expertise, recommending business process and/or system improvements
- Provide guidance and feedback on how to improve the quality of the business analysis team
- Identify business problems/opportunities and define the most suitable approach to ensure that recommendations fit with strategic business objectives
- Assist with initiation and scoping of new projects
- Identify and manage any risks
- Ensure all Project Issues are properly reported and maintain issue logs
- Liaise with Project Assurance and internal audit
- Attend to project, system or business assessments
- Maintain traceability between requirements and ERP implementation
- Manage development of ERP and BI Tool related training and implementation material
- Provide remote and on-site support to Kerridge and Syspro users, and facilitate training to new and existing users
- Guide the team to document relevant finance and trading related issues
- Assist with QA and modification, Service Pack and User Acceptance testing
- Assist Group Finance with financial reporting and IT Audit requirements
Education:
- BCom degree in Information or Business Systems essential
- Tertiary qualification / course in finance related field highly advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5 to 7 years' experience in a business analysis role essential
- 3+ years managerial experience essential
- Solid understanding of bridging the gap between finance and business systems
- Transactional processing / retail or warehousing industry experience essential
- Kerridge / Syspro knowledge preferred
- Understanding of BI Tools essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong business partnering skills
- Business and financial acumen
- Meticulous attention to detail
