Job responsibilities:
The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for the safe inspections, maintenance, and repair of all the mining and plant systems hydraulic machinery and equipment, as directed.
- Safe inspections, maintenance and repairs to all mining and plant equipment and machinery as directed by the MECH SUPV and TECH SUPT
- Maintain all welding equipment in a safe manor.
- Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security policies.
- Complete Risk Assessments on all activities
- Ensure compliance with Permits to Work (Hot Work etc)
- Ensures all work tools are safe and properly maintained and stowed.
- Assists the ROV seabed tool launch and recovery.
- Maintain housekeeping to the required standard at all work sites.
Must have knowledge in:
· Hydraulics maintenance
· Hydraulic fault finding
- Knowledge of all the equipment and basic maintenance associated with the crawler, LARS and the plant.
- Basic machining with lathe and milling machines (preferable)
- Read and write English.
- Read a hydraulic schematic drawing.
- Basic welding and cutting. (Preferable)

- 5 years offshore Installation experience
- Valid Passport
- Valid Seafarers Medical
- Police Clearance not older than 6 months
- COVID Vaccination Certificate
- Proof of relevant certificate of competency (COC)
- National Seamans Book
