One of the leading manufacturing companies based in Eat of Johannesburg is looking to hire a Cost accountant. The ideal candidate would be someone with 4 years of experience within manufacturing with full exposure working in the plants B.com degree is non-negotiable.The candidate will be responsible for the costing /production department and will also have cost clerks and costing analysis will report directly to the cost accountant over and above everything they will be responsible for projects. Qualifications:- B.com degree in accounting
- BTech Cost and Management Accounting
- Industry must be manufacturing.
- A full understanding of “Bills of Material”
- SAP non-negotiable
- Inventory Management
- High-level understanding of the costing function
- Full understanding Pricing
- Responsible for the entire costing function within the department
- Responsible for break-even analysis for budgeting
- To be involved in forecasts for the following year
- Control all capital expenditures.
- Maintenance of the fixed assets register regarding depreciation.
- Administration and inventory control
- Supervise the submission of monthly cost reports to Management.
- Liase with production staff regarding production line
- Liaise with warehouse manager regarding stock movement
- Pricing of products
