Ivanplats is looking for a HR Coordinator Operations,
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.Purpose of the role:
This role is an operational role within the HR structure responsible for effective deployment and development of operations labour as well as good employee relations. The HR Coordinator - Operations role forms an integral part of the Operational Management team, with the responsibility of ensuring the effectiveness of the human resources within the Operations. The incumbent is responsible for HR Service delivery to the Production Manager. The time frame of work is 1 to 2 years, but some plans will be on a longer timeframe.
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:- Grade 12
- NQF 7 bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource management or Industrial Psychology.
- Min of 5 years Human Resources experience, of which 2 years in the mining environment in a similar position
- Workforce Planning and Staffing: Develops shift systems and other workforce deployment systems balancing legal requirements with production and customer demands and keeping abreast with innovations in thinking.
- Performance Improvement and Management: Understands a variety of performance improvement methodologies and consults to line managers to diagnose performance barriers and remedial actions.
- Organisational Development: Understands the principles, methodologies and processes of organisational analysis and change.
- Has a working knowledge of productivity and related concepts to be able to assist in design and implementation of productivity improvement interventions.
- Attend relevant training and events as scheduled to ensure improved support, applications of new or changed systems, processes, etc. and pays particular attention to ensuring own personal development.
