A giant in the FMCG sector is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their Western Cape based team.
Requirements:
This role requires strong FMCG buying experience with an emphasis on perishables and packaging procurement principles. A tertiary qualification in a related field would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of Microsoft Office along with strong Excel skills is essential.
Your responsibilities will include forecasting raw material, ingredients or packaging requirements, checking stock takes and ensuring that shortages and deliveries are clearly communicated and resolved. You should be ready to engage with suppliers, negotiating and sourcing new and existing material. You will be building strong negotiation skills as you facilitate cost savings projects .
