Description:
Main Purpose: To increase sales and revenue at the Pretoria Workshop by identifying untapped existing markets, develop new markets and exploit business opportunities that are sustainable.
Key Performance Areas:
- Identify potential markets and clients in order to grow sales in a sustainable manner.
- Establish and maintain close contact with key client representatives.
- Research and provide sales intelligence on a continuous basis, ensuring the sales plan is adjusted and achieved.
- Conduct an industry sector and geographic analysis to develop a high impact sales and marketing strategy.
- Understand the workshop capability and capacity in order to promote workshop portfolio.
- Develop and action marketing campaigns.
- Meet sales targets.
- Work independently and is self-driven.
- Evaluate customer enquiries to ascertain suitability of the potential business.
- Establish strategic partnerships leveraging the strengths of the workshop.
- Diversify service offering into mining sector, structural steel for renewable energy and other growth markets.
- Advise factory on market trends.
- Integrate marketing, sales and tendering outputs into a high performance business development culture.
- Any other job related duties as required from time to time.

Preferred Requirements:

- Relevant Diploma in Engineering (advantageous).
- 5 – 10 Years’ sales/business development experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process.
- Heavy industry or power generation background.
- Technical knowledge applicable to our capabilities and the requirements of our clients.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
