Description:

Datacentrix is looking for a UX Specialist to be based at the Midrand offices.

Qualifications:
Matric and Diploma/Degree in Web development/Programming


Responsibilities:
  • User research: Ability to conduct various research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user behaviours, needs, and pain points.
  • Information Architecture: Proficiency in organizing and structuring content to create intuitive navigation and user flows within digital products or websites.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Experience in creating wireframes and interactive prototypes using tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or Axure to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
  • Visual Design: Understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout to create visually appealing and cohesive user interfaces.
  • Interaction Design: Knowledge of designing interactive elements and micro-interactions that enhance user engagement and usability.
  • Usability Testing: Ability to plan, conduct, and analyse usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs for improved user experience.
  • Accessibility: Awareness of accessibility guidelines and best practices to ensure digital products are inclusive and usable for all users.
  • Prototyping Tools: Knowing how to use computer programs to create and test designs, like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively communicate design decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present ideas to stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify user problems and design solutions that address user needs while aligning with business goals and technical constraints.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and project requirements while maintaining a user-centered approach.
  • Project Management: Basic project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively within project teams.
  • IT/Marketing Bridge: Must have a strong backend knowledge and ability to bridge the gap between IT and marketing.
