JOB TITLE: Quality Controller MANAGER: SHEQ ManagerLOCATION: Johannesburg QUALIFICATIONS:Trade Tested ElectricianWireman’s license – Installation Electrician (IE) PREFERRED SKILLS:Quality ManagementSupervisory abilityInstallation and maintenance of Solar SystemsCommission of AC/DC systems EXPERIENCE REQUIRED5 years’ experience as installation electrician (IE)7 Years’ experience as trade tested electricianExposure to Solar systems and/or invertersManagement of staff DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure that a Quality Control Management Plan (QCMP) and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) has been developed prior to the start of any construction activityReview relevant construction standards, Engineering specifications and project documents including the QCMP, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) project specifications and Issued for Construction drawingsMonitor operations to ensure that they meet supplier and engineering standardsPerform or witness needed tests on site to ensure conformity of material and works according to the Engineering specificationsImprove or write new milestone checklists for various types of solar systems and communicate to the construction teamAccept or reject finished items against milestone checklistsInspect, test, or measure the installation being produced and sign off on milestone checklistsReceive immediate notification from Engineering Department about non-conforming material or/and Quality incident reports and ensure re-inspection or/and re?testing. Give immediate notification to the Quality ManagerEnsure that all Quality records associated with the implementation of the Construction Quality Management Plan (QCMP) and Inspection and TestPlans (ITP) are kept organized and updated on SharePointEnsure maintenance of all documents related to control of inspections, measuring, and test equipment and ensure that all relevant procedures are followed so that inspection, measuring and testing are performed under controlled conditionsTrack status of all inspections and testing to inform that Quality Manager and ensure that all non-conformances (NCR’s), activity (QIR’s) or procedures is recorded in the appropriate registerAssist in the Quality Meetings with Quality ManagerProduce Quality Incident Reports (QIR’s) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) when requiredInspect materials as delivered to site including distribution board’s FATEvaluate inspection and test data for final commissioningCarry out final commissioning for AC, DC and inverter communication systemsIssue full commissioning report with CoC’s to the CM for sign off
