Our client in the fruit industry is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. Their office are based on a farm (between Malmesbury and Wellington ).
This position is hybrid - remote work while reporting to the farm once to twice a week. Ideal candidate will be based in the Cape Wineland region .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize business performance.
- Develop comprehensive financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Partner with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to address business challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and timely audits.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
- Proactively identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement, driving initiatives to maximize profitability.
- Champion a culture of innovation and constructive challenge, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement within the finance function.
Requirements:
- CIMA or CA qualification.
- Experience in Dynamics NAV/Business Central
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting principles.
This position is hybrid , remote and based on the farm between Wellington and Malmesbury , and is full time, Monday-Friday.
Starting date : As soon as possible.
Location: Farm located between Malmesbury and Wellington, and remote work.
Salary : R70 000 - R80 000 CTC a month (depending on experience).
