Description:
To support the company’s Chandling sales strategy, thereby developing, marketing and supplying products throughout South and Southern Africa. Also ensuring that this results in customer satisfaction, retention and growth, while maximising profit for the company
· Visit vessels with the aim of procuring Chandling requests
· Implement the Chandling business strategy with budget & targets in mind
· Identify new market opportunities
· Identify potential corporate customers
· Meet regularly with key local & overseas clients
· Communicate technological advances to key customers
· Actively encourage and support the company’s showroom
· Continuously monitor and update pricing model inputs
· Negotiate contracts with regional customers
· Development of local customer accounts with a focus on offering additional value-added services
· Determine, monitor and act on key sales performance indicators
· Ensure that Request For Quotation forms are filled out correctly and submitted in an efficient manner
· Manager new business projects until introduction is concluded
Requirements:
- Export: 3 to 4 years
- Importing: 3 to 4 years
- Ship Chandler: 4 to 5 years
- Marine Sales: 4 to 5 years
· Must be in possession of a valid unendorsed code 8 license
· Be physically fit and able to work in harsh conditions
· The ability to interact with customers and employees
· Well organized, sober habits and high attention to detail.
· Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is essential
Good negotiation skills
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Chandling
· Excellent sales and marketing skills
· Technically competent in the marine services industry
· An in-depth knowledge of the Chandling industry
Experienced knowledge of importing and exporting goods
