Description:
Responsible for providing guidance, instruction, and directions to the project installation team. Planning and Monitoring of Progress on all jobs.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Supervise team of 6 or more technicians
- Ensure that time keeping, overtime management, leave and sick leave information is passed on to HR
- Train new and existing employees on all relevant skills and standards when required
- Assistance with surveying, quoting and progress reports as needed.
- Manage quality Assurance
- Measure project team productivity
- Provide daily activity reports
- Complete before and after photographic and written records of work completed
- Setting of work schedules
- Assigning work
- Ensuring that projects are completed on time
- Enforcing policies, procedures and workplace standards are met
- Uphold ethical business practices and adhere to all contractual obligations
- Maintain sound relations with all clients
- Ensure that all equipment and tools are kept safe and in good working condition
- Comply with all relevant site regulations and bylaws as applicable
- Ensure that all company, client and site health and safety procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that team has the correct PPE and that it is used and worn as and when required.
- Report any hazards, incidents or injuries or hazards to management
- Stock – control of stock on site

- A minimum of 3 yrs related experience in a leadership role in the shipping/marine industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collect, analyze and use relevant information
- Ability to supervise and motivate a workforce
- Ability to remain focused under pressure
- Must be computer literate and able to work in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be willing to get your hands dirty (climb in & do manual labour when and where required) as well as taking responsibility
- Must have a valid South African Driver’s license
- Must be able to lead by example.
Education, experience and competencies required:
