Junior Hardware Design Engineer

Description:

A prominent provider of mid- to high-resolution earth observation cameras for CubeSats and small satellites is in search of a Junior Electronic Hardware Engineer to join their team. We're looking for an Electronic Engineer to join our Hardware Development Team, focusing on advancing and refining our electronic systems. Specifically, we need expertise in schematic capturing and PCB layouts for high-density, high-speed digital, and electro-optical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, testing, and integrating digital and electro-optical electronic systems for the aerospace industry.
• Developing and testing high-reliability electronics assemblies.
• Creating test equipment.

Qualifications:

• BEng (Electronic); MSc Eng (Electronic).

Must-Have Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience in designing high-speed FPGA electronics.
• 2+ years' experience in high-speed digital electronics PCB routing with at least 6 layers.
• Proficiency in high-speed digital, low-noise analog, and high-reliability design principles.
• Ability to write technical reports using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Advantageous:

• Experience with FPGAs, preferably Microsemi/Microchip.
• Familiarity with environmental testing and acceptance testing to high-quality standards.
• Understanding of radiation effects on electronics.
• Proficiency in Python (or similar scripting languages).
• Experience in standard coding compliance, including version control.
• Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter or any other formal configuration management tool.
