Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

  • Improve the overall profitability of the Company by reaching and exceeding sales targets monthly.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with existing client base to optimise sales.
  • Research, source, and develop prospective new clients to generate new business and optimise sales.
  • In person visits, creation & facilitation of presentations to existing & prospective clients.
  • Visit interior designers and Architects, ensuring they specify Spazio products in their projects.
  • Consult with national corporate companies in the industry to specify Spazio products in their projects.
  • Consult with consumers and work on their household requirements and needs.
  • Develop clear and effective written quotations and proposals for current and prospective clients.
  • At all times ensure sales orders are processed and submitted accurately and competently by effective product knowledge, utilising and referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Complete tenders as and when required, ensure that they are approved by the Sales Manager.
  • Resolve client queries accurately, responsibly, and confidently, ensuring an excellent client experience.
  • Follow up on orders, to ensure excellent client relationship management is maintained at the appropriate professional standard to ensure repeat business.
  • The ability to effectively communicate and interpret business requirements and briefs, conceptualise designer furniture beauty, space, and layout solutions per deadlines.
  • Establish mechanisms to build relationships with colleagues, existing and prospective clients, intermediaries, shareholders, industry bodies and the community.
  • Accurately update call sheets, to ensure that your daily schedule is appropriate and effective for maximising sales, and that all information and feedback is kept for record purposes, update new and ex-client database on an ongoing basis using Outlook.
  • Manage the timely distribution of marketing material (catalogues, etc.) to professionals, architects, Interior designers, and clients etc. appropriately in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
  • Assist with stock-take as and when necessary or required.
  • General duties and ad hoc tasks, projects and requests when required.

  • Negotiation Skills: 2 to 3 years
  • Furniture Specification: 2 to 3 years
  • South African citizen and ID , residing in Johannesburg.
  • Matric essential (Preference will be given to a candidate with related tertiary education).
  • Current, valid, legal South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
  • Passion for furniture, space, beauty, and design.
  • Proven referable designer furniture Sales track record (at least 2+ years Sales experience) with architectural fine furniture knowledge and experience is necessary.
  • Excellent negotiation, selling and deal closing skills including problem solving abilities.
  • Proven sales track record and external sales experience of at least 2 years in the design world.
  • Networking profile of interior designers & architects.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels .
  • Highly computer literate and exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and can work efficiently and neatly in a fast-paced environment, as all tasks must be carried out to the highest standards.

Key Requirements:

  • South African citizen and ID , residing in Johannesburg.
  • Matric essential (Preference will be given to a candidate with related tertiary education).
  • Current, valid, legal South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
  • Passion for furniture, space, beauty, and design.
  • Proven referable designer furniture Sales track record (at least 2+ years Sales experience) with architectural fine furniture knowledge and experience is necessary.
