Description:
ROLE PURPOSETests new technology and maintains the existing technology used by a company. Perform real-time log analysis to identify gaps or errors by conducting manual and automated tests to simulate different scenarios. Monitor and maintain the health and wellness of all devices on the client’s networks
SCOPE OF WORK: DELIVERABLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
- Test new technology
- Produce SOP, user guides and other technical documentation
- Investigate issues that impact user estate until resolution
- Extract and analyze data from various sources and base recommendation on these analysis
- Produce reference data for use by operational teams and management
- Identify and patch vulnerabilities: End user estate and service under management
- Investigation and propose solutions related to any configuration related anomalies.
- Taking corrective actions on a case by case, provide investigation and escalation to higher level
- Track, analyse, and fix end user computer network security problems
- Collaborate with computer system administrators and network architects
- Respond to Active Threats with urgency until resolve
- Ensure end user security tools are running properly on company networks and devices
- Research emerging threats and the safeguards that can provide protection
- Completing/contribution to reporting
- Completing/contributing to service or process documentation
- Communicate and where approved, ensure implementation of improvements/automation on processes on a continuous basis.
- Daily report on overall system statuses (inter alia asset and security systems)
ROLE REQUIREMENT

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- IT Automation with system dashboard boards and monitoring.
- Experience/exposure with Server Management
- Experience/exposure with Vulnerability Management
- Experience with EIT software applications (specifically Excel, Power BI or any other data ingestion and analysis software)
- Experience and knowledge of ITSM (Remedy) tools will be advantageous
- Exposure to BO reporting and or report writing skills
- Experience with Virtual Machines, building, configuring and management.
- Experience with Powershell scripting, deployment, and testing.
- Experience with Apple MacBooks and Air watch.
- Experience in using structured methodologies for the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation purposes.
- Experience working with SCCM and WSUS
- Experience with Group Policy Management
- Experience with Active Directory Management
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification will be advantageous
- Matric/Grade12
