Mechanical Production Manager

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Mechanical Production Manager to join them in Randburg. The successful candidate will have experience in managing production in a Mechanical department relating to welders, fitters, and CNC Operators. Job Title : Mechanical Production Manager
Geographical area : Randburg, Gauteng
Salary range : Market Related

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations.
• Oversee welders, fitters, CNC operators
• Work alongside Production Planners to schedule weekly production targets
• Manage production plan for on-time completion and delivery.
• Identify and address key concerns that may alter or influence the production plan.
• Manage WIP (Work-In-Progress) report and track developments and delivery dates of such.
• Assuming ownership of first-line operational risks and controls, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
• Provide Technical expertise support to the Production Lines
• Plan, schedule and arrange department forecasts and budget involvement raising Capex requirements too

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12 / Equivalent
• Production Management qualification
• 5+ years experience in similar role
• Knowledge of workshop operations
